Accountant

Job Title: Accountant

We are recruiting for a part time Accountant; this role is working for a well-established and reputable organisation on a permanent basis and with remote working conditions.

You will be:

Payroll

• Posting the payroll journal into Sage - (Payroll managed by DWM) PAYE/NIC payments through the bank
• P11d data collection for use by DWM (Auditors)

Sage Accounting

• Using a Sage package to keep the accounts for the company. (Nominal, Sales and Purchase ledgers)
• VAT returns

Inter Company Reporting

• Month and year end reporting using the Cognos system (excel based package used to collate all the figures

Preparation of annual accounts

• Annual update and distribution of commission agreements with the other group companies
• Working with the auditors (DWM) to produce annual accounts and statutory reports
• Companies House annual return

Internal reporting

• Monthly management accounts to MD
• Calculation of commission invoices using the Company internal system
• Analysis, processing and payment of expense claims
• Sustainability reporting as part of expense claims
• Calculation of recharge invoices to other parts of the Group
• Internal controls to keep the accounting updated with changes to the Company
• Preparation of Board meeting reports
• Negotiation and arrangement of Public Liability Insurance, Health Insurance and phone contracts
• Cashflow calculations for internal use, and for Group Treasury using internal system
• Calculation of annual Budget and Forecast figures based on sales volumes provided by Business Units

Banking

• Bank reconciliations (GBP and Euro accounts)

Other

• Ad hoc assistance and reports to colleagues as required
• Government reporting as required (e.g. ONS submissions)

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA (desirable)
• Have significant manufacturing finance experience
• Have commercial finance experience
• Be a business leader that can drive results across disciplines
