Pure are currently working with a charity on the recruitment of a part time Accountant to join their team based on the outskirts of Cambridge, this position is an interim role for 12 months and they are ideally looking for somebody to work 3 days a week. 

This role has been created to support the Head of Finance with the day to day finance duties whilst they work on a new business model and the rollout of a new finance system. 

This is a great opportunity to join an established team who put the welfare of their people at the forefront of what they do, this role offers hybrid working and are flexible with how the hours are worked, they can be over 3 or 4 days. 

The main responsibilities of this role are - 

- Ensuring the monthly reporting is accurate and timely
- Reviewing the monthly financial returns submitted by the finance team, querying any anomalies and agreeing actions to be taken
- Overseeing month end and year end close
- Overseeing balance sheet reviews
- Overseeing the processing of payroll
- Producing high quality financial reports
- Supporting the finance team with any day to day issues

You must be CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified and have proven relevant experience in all of the above areas, you must be comfortable supporting the team where needed and also getting involved with more junior level tasks in busy periods. Strong excel skills are essential and ideally you will have previous experience of managing a team.
