Accountant

Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking an accountant for a highly flexible employer in Pontypridd.

You will be - supporting the Head of Finance. We are wanting a qualified accountant with the appetite to run with different project and support.

• To direct and manage the production of month end and year end accounts
• To manage the production of the monthly cashflow statements and forecasts.
• Manage Treasury position to deliver a rate of return on assets consistent with group risk policies.
• To be responsible for the safeguarding of assets using the finance system.
• Ensure an effective system of financial control is in place
• To manage and lead a member of staff
• Liaison with Business Support Team, Finance Systems and Transactions to ensure Finance Department responsibilities are appropriately discharged.
• Liaison with operational staff and Managers in Faculties and Corporate Departments to ensure Finance are represented and Finance issues considered in overall University strategic planning.

The offer:

Salary to £55,000 extremely generous holidays - in excess of 40 days, generous pension and hybrid working - only one day a week on site.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract but with a high probability of becoming permanent.
