Seeking an experienced Accountant for a 9-month fixed term contract with a finance team in a Law firm, based in London. The Accountant will be responsible for processing, analysing, and monitoring financial transactions in accordance with firm policies and financial reporting requirements. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile various financial transactions, including revenue/billing, cash receipts, bank accounts, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger
  • Collaborate with global teams to resolve unidentified receipts and other transaction issues
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and third-party disbursements on a timely basis
  • Improve processes and ensure consistency to align with company practices
  • Enhance the accuracy of financial reporting and meet deadlines
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field
  • Accounting qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in a similar role within finance
  • Experience in preparing reconciliations
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Solid project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong teamwork skills
