Location: Kingston KT2, United Kingdom (with options for hybrid working)

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 basic salary, with on-target earnings (OTE) of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Job Description:

A leading IT provider, specialising in cybersecurity, cloud storage, backup, and managed services, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive sales of its cloud storage and data-centre solutions. The candidate will join a well-positioned company with offices in the UK, Netherlands, and USA, and numerous global data-centre locations, allowing it to meet the needs of global businesses.

The role is primarily office-based with the opportunity for hybrid working arrangements. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and expanding client relationships, prospecting new accounts, and closing sales across the company's product offerings. Key responsibilities include cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts, targeting potential new clients, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and expand customer relationships through service reviews, aiming to increase sales within existing accounts.
  • Prospect new accounts and leads, including following up on open and disqualified leads, to expand the customer base.
  • Work closely with vendor partners to target and secure new business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline forecasts.
  • Continuously improve sales skills and technical knowledge through company-provided training and personal development efforts.
  • Meet and exceed assigned key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the IT reseller industry, with a focus on cloud storage and data-centre solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage full sales cycles from prospecting to closure.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Resilience, confidence, and a proactive attitude are essential.
  • Strong multitasking ability and a motivated approach to achieving sales goals.
  • Technical knowledge in IT, particularly in cloud and data-centre technologies.
