Role:                Access & Assessment Team Leader – Domestic Abuse 

Based:             Leeds – Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days from home)

Salary:             £33,500

Our client, a well-respected domestic abuse charity are currently recruiting for an Access & Assessment (AAT) Team Leader, to spearhead change in the fight against domestic violence and abuse.

AAT is the first point of contact for any person who is experiencing domestic abuse. The team works with victim-survivors, risk assessing and developing support and safety plans. AAT is also the first point of contact for professionals who are making referrals, seeking support for their service-users or wanting advice.

Synopsis:

  • As the Access & Assessment Team Leader, you'll lead a dedicated team within a multi-agency environment, providing top-tier support to survivors of domestic abuse and collaborating with professionals from various organisations.
  • From risk assessment to safety planning, you'll ensure trauma-informed services that empower those in need.
  • Managing a team of 8-10
  • Ensuring that the service is being delivered correctly and to contractual obligations.
  • Ensure KPI’s are met on an ongoing basis
  • Staff management; carrying out supervisions and case management/ audits.
  • Build and maintain solid working relationships within the service and with other organisations and agencies.
  • Promote the service and ensure clients have access to all available services and working closely with a range of partners, agencies and services

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to motivate and manage teams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Legislative Acumen: Familiarity with working within a legislative framework.
  • Multi-Agency Expertise: Experience operating within an operational multi-agency setup.
  • Understanding of Trauma: Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and their impact on victim-survivors and their families.
  • Crisis Management Skills: Ability to navigate stressful situations with grace and efficiency.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in IT skills to present complex information clearly.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service would be advantageous.
  • Position is open to women only (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)
