Academic Mentor
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Contract Type: Temporary (opportunity for permanent)
Salary: £90-£95 per day
Role OverviewAs an Academic Mentor, you will work closely with students across a range of academic subjects. Your primary responsibility will be to support learners in achieving the highest grades by providing personalized guidance and assistance. You will collaborate with both students and teaching staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
Key Responsibilities- Individualised Support: Work with a diverse group of learners, identifying their unique needs and tailoring mentoring sessions accordingly.
- Academic Progress: Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, helping them improve their academic performance.
- Study Skills: Provide guidance on effective study techniques, time management, and exam preparation.
- Motivation and Engagement: Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to stay motivated and engaged.
- Feedback and Reflection: Offer constructive feedback and encourage self-reflection to enhance learning outcomes.
- A degree is essential or equivalent experience as a Tutor/Academic Mentor.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for supporting student success.
