3rd Line Support Engineer (Cloud Technologies) - Dewsbury

Insight Talent Partners is currently looking to recruit a 3rd Line Engineer with experience of managing cloud environments for a well-established business based in Dewsbury.

As a 3rd Line Engineer, you will be responsible for the effective management of employed cloud software solution including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and other proprietary cloud based software. This will include provision of 3rd line support to the organisation and as appropriate liaising with 3rd parties as appropriate to ensure the smooth running of ICT systems.

This is a brand-new role and a fantastic opportunity to make your mark within this business. The position offers high levels of autonomy and the ability to make a difference to how the business operates from a technical standpoint.

The business currently uses Azure and O365 in a basic sense, they want to hire a person who can come into the business and champion the adoption of cloud technology, making sure systems are being utilised properly and in a meaningful way.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting the Microsoft Azure tenant, including Azure Active Directory, InTune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, Yammer and 365.
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting other application as a service solutions in use such as Support Desk and HR Software.
  • Supporting the Head of ICT to manage, maintain and support infrastructure as a service provisions including SDWan and WIFI.
  • Responsible for ensuring cloud based solutions, processes and procedures are fully documented.
  • Responsible for managing system compliance and security to defined standards ensuring appropriate levels of cyber security at all times.
  • Acting as 3rd line support for the ICT Team as an escalation point to the Desktop Support Analysts.
  • Supporting the Head of ICT to ensure appropriate SLA levels are maintained to solutions owners.
  • Supporting the Head of ICT to onboard new software as a service solutions.
  • Patch management of virtual machines in use.
  • Meet and exceed KPI’s and objectives of the ICT Team.
  • Facilitate recovery point objectives through appropriate data backup regimes.
  • Provide general customer support when required as part of the Information Services Team.
  • Act as a mentor with respect to cloud software ensuring knowledge share with members of the Information Services Team.

Experience required

  • Extensive experience of working with and providing support of complete business systems for both front and back office.
  • Substantial experience of working with cloud-based software solutions.
  • Substantial experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Significant experience of working with business sensitive or confidential information.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Intune
  • Detailed knowledge of API’s, Web Services and other integration techniques.
  • Understanding and use of application integration
  • Awareness and understanding of ITIL
  • Awareness of current Data Protection legislation
