3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer | Nottingham | Up to £40,000 | MSP | Windows | Linux | VMware | vSphere | vSAN

An exciting opportunity for an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join a rapidly growing Nottingham based MSP. The role is focused around Servers and virtualization, using Windows, Linux and VMware.

The Role

The role focuses around 3 core areas. Escalations. Maintenance. Research and Development Training. You'll be helping to deliver resolutions to complex tickets raised to you from 2nd Line, with the aim of settling complex issues whilst dealing directly with clients. Another key responsibility will be researching new technologies and processes in order to help automate and streamline systems in order to deliver a consistent levels of service. Upskilling and personal development will also be a key feature. You'll be given an annual training budget to help improve your skills and pick up any certifications you may be gunning for!

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain servers
  • Monitor the network and resolve any issues
  • Audit and patch sore systems
  • Mentor more junior members of the team
  • Develop documentation
  • Research and implement new products and services

Skills We Are Looking Out For

  • VMware/vSphere/vSAN Administration and Maintenance
  • Administrative knowledge of Linux and Windows
  • Virtualization and Virtual Machine Management
  • Basic Networking
  • Basic Database admin with MySQL

The Company

A small but rapidly growing MSP based in Nottingham. They are still family run and despite being able to handle large clients much larger than themselves, they have retained that personal touch. They are specialists in managed hosting and have gone from strength to strength in recent years.
