2nd Line MSP Engineer

Job Title: 2nd Line MSP Engineer
Location: Wigan
Work Structure: Office / Field based
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000

We are working with a well-established Managed Service Provider located within the Wigan area who are looking to expand their team and recruit a 2nd Line Engineer.

They are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come on board and provide IT support to their varied client base from the office and out on the road at the client's site.

Essential: Previous MSP experience / background. Driving Licence is required. Own vehicle desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience with most of the technologies below:

• Microsoft 365 and applications
• Active Directory / Group Policies
• Backup systems (Veeam, backup exec etc)
• Antivirus solutions
• Software and hardware installs
• Cloud support (Azure, AWS)
• Routing / Switches (configurations, setups)
• Firewall (admin, configurations)
• Virtualisation - Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix

Day-to-day:

• Advise customers on the best solutions for their IT infrastructure
• Design, install and maintain IT networks
• Configure, install IT hardware and software (on site or remotely)
• Network setups, server installs, switch configurations, wireless setups
• Train clients on new systems implemented
• Keep up to date and knowledgeable of new technologies
