2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer

Our client is looking for a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer to join the team in Basingstoke on a hybrid basis on an initial 6 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support for Citrix and VMware environments, including XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, VMware vSphere, and VMware Horizon.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Citrix and VMware platforms, applications, and virtualization infrastructure.
  • Perform proactive monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of Citrix and VMware environments to ensure stability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their IT requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose tailored solutions.
  • Document support activities, solutions, and configurations to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with other support teams and vendors to escalate and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Citrix, VMware, and virtualization.
