Junior IT Support / 1st Line Support - Batley - £18 - 24k (DOE)

This position is open to entry-level IT enthusiasts who are looking for an opportunity to start their career in IT and gain professional experience. You will be the main contact for clients in most instances, so you must have excellent communication skills and will be well-organised to provide excellent customer service to customers.

We are also an ISP, and you will also get an opportunity to work in a Hostmaster role helping to support customer's DNS records, emails and websites. Are you the right person for the job?

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in providing customer service, technical support or working in a help desk environment
  • Familiarity with IT support tools such as Quick Assist, Team Viewer, RDP etc
  • PC Support - Windows 7/8/10/11
  • Basic understanding of network protocols and firewall configurations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintaining system documentation to a high standard
  • A recognised IT qualification Role Requirements
  • A passion for IT and enjoys being part of a team but can also work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a good level of literacy skills
  • IT literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft Packages, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Willing to work effectively in the team
  • Driving licence - a car would be desirable but not essential initially
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
