As a 1st Line Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and availability of their network infrastructure, providing frontline support, addressing a wide range of network issues promptly and effectively. From troubleshooting connectivity issues to configuring and installing network devices, your expertise will ensure seamless operations and uninterrupted service for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot issues with switching technologies like STP, VLANs, and VTP, providing Level-1 support and troubleshooting as needed.
• Monitor system performance, ensuring availability and reliability.
• Take ownership of ongoing and escalated cases through to resolution.
• Conduct network maintenance & system upgrades, implement service packs, patches, hot fixes & security configurations.
• Plan, design, and implement networked systems, supporting and troubleshooting network problems.
• Provide technology demonstrations and updates to both internal and external clients.
• Develop comprehensive User Acceptance Tests with clients to ensure successful project completion and financial sign-off.
• Create and maintain installation procedures for new products.

Skill, Experience & Personality Attributes

• Familiarity with essential tools like PRTG and Visio is a must, while knowledge of VMWARE technologies is advantageous.
• At least one year of experience in delivering Fortinet/Cisco and/or Juniper WAN and LAN solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues effectively.
• Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls, and an interest in learning new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written & proactive attitude.
• Live within a one-hour commute of the office, have a vehicle & Full UK Driving license.
