Are you a compassionate and proactive individual with a passion for supporting children with special needs? An incredible opportunity awaits you at our primary school in the heart of Camden. We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a non-verbal pupil in Year 2 who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Non-Verbal ASD Support

Start Date: September 2024

Hours: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Status: Full-Time

Duration: September 2024, to the end of the academic year, July 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal pupil in Year 2 with ASD.

Implement communication strategies to support the pupil's engagement and learning.

Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Foster positive relationships with the pupil, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements:

Proactive and compassionate approach to supporting children with special needs.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs.

Commitment to a full-time role, Monday to Friday, for the entire academic year.
