1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistants - Stanmore, Harrow, Northwest London - Immediate Start

Empowering Learning are currently working alongside a number of SEND Schools and Specialist Units located in Islington North London.

As a 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant you will be expected to:

  • Support children in their learning and behaviour in different classes.
  • Safeguard children and report anything small or big to the Safeguarding officer within the setting.
  • Carry out behaviour management in line with the school's policies and procedures.
  • Support pupils inside and outside the classroom and maintain high expectations.
  • Accompany and support students with their academic and personal development.
  • Be proactive in the class to ensure your learning support is tailored to each child's individual needs and learning styles.
  • Follow a SEN learning plan and cater to their individual needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Additional training based around education such as a Degree/NVQ or CACHE certification
  • Experience teaching or support children with SEND needs.
  • A passion for working in Education.
  • Experience working in Education.
  • Be able to commit to a full time or part time role working Monday through to Friday (depending on role is dependent on the days of the week you will work)
