Position: 1:1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Great Barr, West Midlands, UK

We are working with a well-established and thriving school in Great Barr, dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to a diverse student population. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join the team and make a positive impact on the lives of all students.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support and assistance to a student with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create and implement personalized learning plans for the student.
Monitor the student's progress, identifying areas of improvement, and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Assist with the student's personal care and well-being, ensuring they are comfortable and engaged in learning activities.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes the student's social and emotional development.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is preferred but not essential.
Patient, empathetic, and understanding nature to build positive relationships with the student and support their individual needs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the student and the school environment.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 months experience in a childcare or school setting
certifications or training in special educational needs or related fields would be advantageous but not essential

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
