As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide personalised support and assistance to students with SEND, helping them overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and specialists to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and valued.
  • Utilise creative teaching strategies and sensory resources to engage students and enhance their learning experiences.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and caregivers to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEND is preferred.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and understanding of diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
