SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Position: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Year 1 Classroom
Responsibilities:
- Providing dedicated support to a child with autism to engage effectively in classroom activities and coursework.
- Assisting the child with their learning objectives and ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
- Implementing individualised strategies to promote the child's social and academic development.
- Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a primary or SEN setting, particularly with children with autism.
- Proactive and supportive approach to assisting children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and parents.
- Ideally, a qualified Teaching Assistant with relevant certifications, although candidates with substantial experience will also be considered.
