Overview

In order to work as a CCTV operator within the Private Security Industry you will need a Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence. This course will provide you with the necesary qualifications to apply for your SIA license and seek your new job in the Security Industry as a CCTV operator.

Description

This is a 4-day course that is designed to be delivered through a blended method with 3 days online with live, interactive classes and then 1 day to be completed at one of our state of the art training centers. This course will provide you with the qualification required to apply for your SIA Licence in Working as a Security Officer Within the Private Security Industry.

Currently due to Covid-19 we are reducing the amoount of face to face training we deliver, however The SIA alongside our Awarding organization, gave us the permission to run the CCTV courses partly online. As a result, from April 1st 2021, We have been delivering these courses through a blended delivery of 3 days online and 1 day in classroom with courses running fortnightly.

Morning Sue, The next course we have running is Tuesday 28th July to Thursday 30th July 2020 Times 0900hrs - 1730hrs and Friday 31st July 2020 being the day you will be taking you 3 assessments so that will be times that you select and it will not be all day. We still have places left on the 28th if you are interested.

Dera Sammy, You do not have to have a Security Guarding Licence before the CCTV Licence, but if you are looking for a job having both will give you an advantage but it is not compulsory.

Dear Sue, Once you have completed and passed the CCTV Course, you will have to apply for a CCTV Licence, but if you are in possession of another SIA Licence that still has over 12 months to run you will be able to receive a discount from the SIA of 50% off the normal price for the course. Dear Gbenro, The SIA have implemented changes to the CCTV (PSS) course structure that has changed from being delivered fully online to a blended delivery of 3-days online and 1-day in the classroom to complete the qualification. This means that you will be required to attend one of our state-of-the-art training Centre on the final day at Gravesend Kent to complete the practical elements of your training. The CCTV (PSS) Course is a fully online course and can be taken anywhere. The next available date for the CCTV (PSS) course is on the 10th-13th November 2020. The course is a total of 4 days - 2 days to complete the module, 1 day to complete a practical and 1 day for your assessment. All of which will be completed online.

Good Morning Cornel, To obtain an SIA CCTV Operator licence you must first obtain an SIA approved certificate within the last three (3) years which confirmes that you are trained in CCTV (PSS) operations. TFS has helped hundreds of learners to obtain this certificate over the years and recently through our Get Qualified at Home CCTV (PSS) course. Dear Andy, It is 3 consecutive days and the 4th day will be your exams, that takes approximately 21/2 hours. The next course dates are as follows: 28th - 31st July/ 11th - 14th August/ weekend course 15th-16th & 22nd August/ 25th - 28th August TFS will give you all the necessary training to pass the course but if you fail you will be permitted total it again.
