COURSE ASSESSMENT
This course includes four assessments that you complete as part of your course work and then forward to your tutor via email or post. You will become familiar with equipment used in quantity surveying as well as the terminology and mathematics involved.

COURSE DURATION
We recommended you spend approx 200 hours of your time studying for the distance learning course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 4 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 8 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

HOME STUDY COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To enrol in the BTEC Surveying and Estimating course, you must be over 16 and educated to at least GCSE standard D-G or hold an NVQ at level 1, or a GNVQ Foundation Certificate. Ideally, you should have some experience of the construction industry.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.
