Overview

Many body masseurs are now applying their skills and techniques into the sporting arena with great success. This type of treatment is finding a niche market in the health and fitness facilities, and many therapists are offering this service both as part of their employment and on a freelance basis.

This sports massage course is designed to enable therapists to have a greater understanding and appreciation of the specific needs of sports participants in the preparation for and recovery from activity. The course will also investigate the value of sports massage in the early detection and the prevention of sports injuries in addition to being a valuable tool in the rehabilitation of such conditions.

On completion of your course, you will receive the dual award:

Award 1 is issued by Stonebridge Associated Colleges: Sports Massage Diploma

Award 2 is issued by our Awarding Body: Level 3 Sports Massage Award

At the end of this course successful learners will also receive a Level 3 NCFE Award Certificate of Achievement. Our course has been accredited under our NCFE IIQ Licence and the course measurable learning outcomes have been benchmarked at Level 3 (using Ofqual's Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) level descriptors) to allow you to consider the depth of study, difficulty, and level of achievement involved.
