The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is a law in India. And as is obvious from its name, the law seeks to protect women from sexual harassment at work place.

Through this law, it is hoped that there will be enhanced sense of security at the workplace for women which in turn could encourage women's participation in work, resulting in their economic empowerment and inclusive growth.

It is essential for all employers and employees to be aware of the provisions of this law.
