Principles of Personal Responsibilities and Working in a Business Environment
Virtual College
Summary
Overview
The content of this course has been mapped to the underpinning knowledge within the following unit on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF): Principles of personal responsibilities and working in a business environment – Level 2.
Everyone working in an organisation has certain rights and responsibilities that are protected by a series of laws and regulations. By operating within a legislative framework, employers and employees are able to ensure their business functions within a range of accepted boundaries. This will ensure the safety and welfare of people at work, create fair working conditions that value and support all people, and will help create clear roles and responsibilities.
This module has therefore been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding needed to carry out their personal responsibilities in a business environment. On completion, learners will understand the key issues relating to employee and employer responsibilities, health and safety, effective communication, working with colleagues, workload planning, continuous improvement, and dealing with workplace problems.
This unit is a mandatory unit within the following qualification: Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration (QCF).
