Overview

The Group will be based on a series of case discussion seminars where participants bring accounts of their work. This is an opportunity to join a small stimulating discussion group which aims to facilitate the development of psychoanalytic thinking. It may also provide a link for those who have undertaken introductory courses and are preparing for clinical training.

Course Times

There are 8 seminars per term over 3 terms starting in the Autumn 2015. The group takes place on Tuesday’s 8.30pm-10.00pm.

Course Fees

Fee £590. If preferred two instalments of £295 are acceptable, the second due at the beginning of the Spring term 2016. Payment can be made by Cheque/Credit/Debit Card. Cheques made in favour of the bpf. Or by Bank Transfer: The Co-operative Bank, Sort Code: 08 02 28, Account No. 68474694 quoting ‘INT/15’ as reference for this payment

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing and subject to an admin fee of £25

  • 100% refund will be given for cancellations up to 60 days before the course start date.
  • 50% refund will be given for cancellations up to 30 days before the course start date.
  • No refund for cancellations received in less than 30 days before the course start date.

Who is this course for?

The group is for people who are considering training in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy. It is intended for those who are thinking of applying within the next year, as well as those who may be considering training in the future. Participants are likely to be from professional settings such as health, social work, education and counselling. This course is also suitable for those who may come from an unrelated profession and would like to become more familiar with clinical thinking and how it can be applied to everyday work situations.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
