Physics IGCSE

The IGCSE in Physics aims to impart a systematic body of scientific knowledge and skills as well as foster an appreciation of the practical nature of physics. Experimental and investigative skills based on safe, correct safe laboratory techniques will be developed. Students will also gain an appreciation of scientific methods and learn to form hypotheses and design experiments to test them.

Assessment

The course contains a number of assignments which your tutor will mark and give you valuable feedback on. We call these Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs). You need only send the TMAs to your tutor for comment, not the self-assessment exercises which are also part of the course to help you gauge your progress

The paper is assessed through a 1 hour examination paper set and marked by Edexcel.

The total number of marks is 60.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
