The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification consists of 6 mandatory units for 60 credits, 600 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 120 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

Each unit carries 10 credit values, 20 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and a Total Quality Time (TQT) of 100 hours.

Upon successfully passing the qualification, the learner will get an Ofqual Regulated PDF Certificate from OTHM.

Assessment

  • All units within this OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health and Social Care are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.
  • To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.
  • The assessor judges that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria.
  • The assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgment of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
