Overview
The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Engineering has been developed to allow learners to gain understanding and knowledge across a range of Engineering practices.
The qualification enables learners to develop essential knowledge in areas such as engineering principles, design technology, electricity, mechanics, statistics and mathematics.
Successful completion of this qualification will prepare learners for employment in the engineering sector or further learning such as an HNC or HND.

How it works
Once you have signed up, you will receive a welcome email which contains your login credentials to gain access to our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Moodle, as well as the details of your course tutor, how to use Moodle, where to begin, and general rules and guidance on the course.
All resources can be accessed at any time online through our online learning portal, allowing you to go through your modules as and when you like. You will benefit from comprehensive workbooks and detailed pre-recorded videos that you can access and replay whenever.
Tutor Support
You will have access to extensive tutor support. You will be given the contact details of your tutor(s), and you may email them whenever you want, or you may request a telephone call.
Assessment
There are no exams, all assessments will be based on coursework assignments that you submit to us, in your own time.
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for people wanting to get a firm foot in the door of engineering, with the course providing essential knowledge in core areas of engineering. If you wish to go onto a HNC/HND (UniCourse offer HNC/HNDs in Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Manufacturing, General and Operations Engineering) and later to university to go onto a top up degree, then this course is the ideal starting point.

A secondary school education. If not, we will consider you on a case by case basis, with a short phone interview.
