Overview

In any work setting, employees who have the skills to communicate effectively and accomplish tasks properly and with precision and accuracy always have the upper hand. Not only do these individuals demonstrate effectiveness in what they do, they are also able to weather all the challenges that come their way.

If you want to be like them, it is time to step up your executive, administrative and communications skills as well as your knowledge of various office duties. That way, you can be prepared to face different workplace challenges and excel in performing your tasks and responsibilities.

Description

Students who will take this course shall have better understanding of: (a) various executive office skills and how they can be developed; (b) different administrative duties and responsibilities; (c) proper project management; (d) different forms of communication and how to communicate effectively; (e) the significance of training and how to improve training skills.

The course is integrated with interactive materials, allowing for better presentation of the topics discussed within. Students shall undergo assessments throughout the duration of the course to check their progress and ensure knowledge retention.

Executive office work encompasses a variety of tasks including developing and providing correspondence, report preparation and organisation and document handling, among others. As these tasks can overlap at any time, an executive officer should be equipped with the right skills and knowledge to identify priorities, balance duties and multitask. In that respect, key project goals will be met and problems can be prevented or minimised.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
