HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM ELIGIBLE?

• Aged 19+ as of 31st August 2023
• Lived in the EU for the last 3 years
• You do not hold a level 3 (or higher) qualification in any subject, or, if you do hold a qualification of at least level 3, you must be either unemployed or in employment but earning below the low wage threshold of £20,319

The Level 3 Certificate in Understanding the Principles of Dementia Care will provide you with knowledge and understanding of dementia and dementia care. Currently, in the UK, around 850,000 individuals are living with dementia and unfortunately, this number is projected to increase. You will learn an understanding of dementia, various types of dementia, the importance of early diagnosis, the use of medication and the approaches in dementia care and support, including communication, interaction, and support.

Dementia affects approximately 850,000 people in the UK and is expected to reach one million by 2025, and two million by 2051. Every year, it costs the UK over £26 billion, showing how imperative it is to raise.
