- You do not hold a level 3 (or higher) qualification in any subject, or, if you do hold a qualification of at least level 3, you must be either unemployed or in employment but earning below the low wage threshold of £20,319

Currently, in the UK 75% of mental ill health begins before the age of 18 and 1 in 8 worldwide, live with a mental health condition, therefore this qualification will increase your knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental well-being to support you to work within the health and social care sector. This Level 3 Understanding Mental Health qualification will give you a comprehensive view of mental health problems, legislation and societal attitudes. In the UK, each year over 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health disorder.
