You’ll increase your knowledge and understanding of a range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, phobias, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. You’ll examine what someone suffering from these conditions might experience, the treatment they might receive, and how they can be supported. And, as you learn all this and plenty more, you’ll study in your own time, at your own pace.

Study Hours
- The learning hours for this course are up to 130 hours, which is around 40 minutes per day for 6 months.

Course Duration
- On average, students complete this course in 7 months, but we'll give you up to 12 months. Don’t worry if you go over the year though, we can organise an extension to your course for an additional fee, which also extends your tutor support.
Assessment
The assessment methods of this course require a portfolio of evidence. This qualification is internally assessed and externally quality assured.
Throughout this course, you may be expected to complete assignments, essays, research projects, presentations, video/audio recordings, and practical learning sessions to meet the requirements of your course. Staff involved in the Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance of this qualification are able to demonstrate that they have the relevant occupational knowledge and/or occupational competence, at the same level or higher as the units being assessed and internal quality assured.
