Description
This course prepares the student to teach movement related subjects in theatre companies, universities, colleges and secondary schools, as well as enabling them to work creatively as a movement director in professional theatre companies; it exposes the student to many different movement styles and dance techniques, while giving them the chance to work with experienced professionals and develop teaching and communication skills; work explores the connection between pure and applied movement, Alexander Technique, voice work and acting.

Requirements:
Applicants must have completed a college or university course and been sufficiently involved in student theatre to indicate serious professional intent; or have adequate professional experience to meet the demands of the course; admission is by interview and practical work; candidates must be physically fit and able to participate in movement classes as the course prepares students to teach by demonstration; applicants should also have experience in movement disciplines, as well as excellent observational skills. The minimum entry age is 18 but, due to the experience necessary for this course, incoming students are usually aged 21 and over. There is no upper age limit. Applicants must be fluent English speakers.
