Description

Comprising 15 comprehensive and interactive lessons, this course has been developed to help you get under the skin of commonly used medical terminology across a wide range of disciplines including biology, cardiology, psychology and many more.

You will be guided through each speciality step-by-step and learn how seemingly complicated medical jargon is built up from word roots, prefixes and suffixes, so this language becomes second nature to you.

We want to ensure you find your training path as easy as possible so, as with our standard training method, this course can be studied at times to suit you and at your own pace meaning you can fit your training around your existing work and life commitments.

There are 15 lessons within this course, each covering a different medical specialism:

  • Overview of the medical specialities, introduction to word units.
  • Structure of the body, cells tissues, organs and systems.
  • Orthopaedics.
  • Cardiology.
  • The Respiratory System.
  • Female Reproduction.
  • Male Reproduction.

Students earn the Pitman Training certification on completion of the course, and may also study for the City & Guilds AMSPAR Level 3 Certificate in Medical Terminology.
