Having gained the essential skills for an IT professional, either through CompTIA A+ or another IT Essentials course, this MCSA qualification will set you on your way to becoming a Server Professional.  If you are looking for a role as a Windows Server administrator who manage infrastructure, web, and IT application servers for an enterprise organisation then this MCSA course could be the ideal next step for your career. Many employers are still using Windows Server 2008, and will in the future be looking to migrate to Server 2012. This is an upgrade exam that is a composite of three stand-alone exams: 70-410, 70-411, and 70-412. Exam 70-417 validates skills related to the core technology features and functionality of Windows Server 2012, from the existing knowledge base of a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Windows Server 2008. The topics from each source exam, plus the percentage of material per topic for each exam component, are noted in the following lists.
