Overview

Life Coaching Level 5 Online Course. 600 Hours Diploma Course. (Endorsed by TQUK - Training Qualifications UK).

Diploma in Life Coaching Course Online. Learn how to encourage others to reach their full potential.

This Diploma course is ideal for those with a basic understanding of psychology or with knowledge or experience in such practical areas as business, fitness, financial management, and who want to help others define and achieve practical goals. For those with no experience in these, Introduction to Psychology is included as an elective module.

To be a successful Life Coach, you will need to have a trusting personality plus a number of other attributes and skills, encompassing a range of different disciplines. A Life Coach may advise their clients in areas such as:

  • Anger management
  • Career goals
  • Conflict management
  • Alcohol and drugs
  • Ethics
  • Financial management
  • Health and well-being
  • Health and fitness
  • Motivation
  • Multi-culturalism
  • Nutrition
  • Social skills
  • Stress management
  • Weight loss

Your ultimate goal should be to empower your client to achieve and exceed personal and professional targets, discussed and agreed to from the beginning and adapted as necessary. This will mean helping them to overcome emotional and stressful problems that come up in life, with confidence in their own ability to do so. Rather than instructing or forcing people to change the way they think, Life Coaching is really about self empowerment by introducing objectivity and structure into your client’s life.

Life coaching is different to counselling, in that it concentrates on helping a person to change what they are doing, so they can be successful at both a personal and professional level. Counselling seeks to help a person discover the reasons why they feel the way the do and to work out a strategy to deal with the problem once identified.

Want to know more?

This level 3 accredited course will develop your ability to help facilitate change in others so that they can achieve practical outcomes. It will prepare you to offer life-coaching services to others, or to support yourself through personal change.

This Diploma is made up of two compulsory modules and four elective modules, chosen from a choice of sixteen coaching related disciplines.

The course takes approximately 600 hours to complete, although you are encouraged to work at your own pace until you have finished it. There are no deadlines for written assignments, or an end date you need to complete the program by.

Our aim is to teach you what you really need to know to become a successful Life Coach and so the program will not only present you with information, it will also guide you through a series of set tasks that will improve your understanding and help you to communicate, solve problems and continually expand your life coaching knowledge and skills. By the end of your studies, you should have a solid foundation from which to build or enhance your career.

This course is accredited by ACCPH and allows you to join as a professional member after completion. Membership allows you to add the letters MACCPH after your name (post-nominals).

At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
