The level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (QCF) is suitable for teachers, trainers and tutors working in further education, adult and community learning or work-based training within public, private, voluntary or community organisations.

Description

This course prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts and requires observations. Teaching practice is a requirement of the qualification. Whilst on the course you will explore theories, and research into effective teaching and learning alongside developing the practical skills those teachers will need in their profession.

The course qualifies one to work in the lifelong learning sector as a teacher; you can also apply for QTLS with your certificate.

The course consists of 7 units and it could be completed within 6 – 18 months. There are 120 numerous comprehensive learning materials, which includes power point presentations, handouts, videos and assignments. As a teacher trainee you will be observed on 8 separate occasions delivering a lesson in the subject you teach lasting a minimum of an hour each. Each learner is assigned to a qualified teacher, mentor who will talk you through the course, and also provide support and feedback when assignment is submitted.
