Overview

This course is designed for people who teach Functional Skills and GCSE English within further education. It is ideal for teachers who have Level 2/GCSE Maths themselves, but want to improve skills to Level 3. It is also for people who are new to teaching and want to teach Functional Skills. The qualification has been developed in response to sector demand for a specific qualification for Functional Skills teachers to be developed.

This course is also appropriate for support staff and vocational tutors working with learners to improve their maths skills up to level 2.

Description

The course is delivered by blended learning using an online e-learning platform and tutor support.

You will achieve 12 credits from 3 units and build a portfolio of work which will be assessed by your personal tutor.

You will be supported through your qualification by a fully qualified and experienced tutor.

Who is this course for?

This course is for Teachers and Trainers who deliver Functional Skills English to improve their skills and knowledge in English, so this knowledge can be passed on to their learners. As well as learners who want to progress onto a level 5 specialism.
