Overview
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training...
delivered by AET teachers and fully accredited by Qualsafe Awards, is the standard Initial Teacher Training course and the minimum needed to teach adults in the UK. NUS Totum card is available.
Five classroom days consist of an induction day which includes an introduction to the qualification and part of Unit 1.
Day 2 covers the remains of Unit 1, day 3 Unit 2, Day 4 unit 3, Day 5 you carry out your micro-teach then have 1 to 1 tutorials with your tutor.
After this, you spend time away from the classroom to complete and submit written assignments.
This is a tried and tested format that works well to supports students to gain their qualification effectively, while fitting in with life and other commitments, with some candidates completing within 4 weeks of starting the course.
This course is perfect for employers and individuals. An employer gains expert trainers an individual opens up the possibility of career advancement or even career change into the training, teaching or lecturing area.

in expertly supporting you to learn by combining theory and practical throughout the course, there are no exams and you are assessed by submitting a portfolio where you complete a bank of questions and can, if you wish, add in evidence collected during the face to face elements in our training center.
- The QA Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed to be an introduction to teaching for those who work or would like to work in the further education and skills sector.
Over a 4 day period, candidates will build an understanding of the specific roles and responsibilities related to planning and delivering inclusive training sessions. Topics covered include:
- maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment
- ways to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment
- assessing learners and providing constructive and developmental feedback
Successful candidates will leave with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to prepare them for teaching in a wide range of contexts, in environments such as Further Education (FE) Colleges, Local Authorities or independent training.
On the fifth day, you carry out your micro-teach and have a 1 to 1 tutorial.
Your support doesn't stop there. You have access to your tutor via email and telephone.

Description
This course is a taught course in a classroom environment!
You are not left alone to do the learning remotely. You can submit work electronically but the bulk of the learning is carried out in a classroom/training room with a highly experienced teacher on hand to answer any questions you may have.
A face to face...
interactive course in a safe, supportive environment where you will have direct contact with a tutor, and where you can ask questions! Using actual teaching techniques practiced over many years. You can take the activities used in this course with you, adding them to your trainer toolbox, to employ in your teaching now and in the future.
The course is delivered in two formats. Either over four days running consecutively one week followed by Monday of the following week or over five days from Monday to Friday inclusive. You can tell which by checking the dates of the courses advertised.
You get feedback at every stage and have ample opportunities to resubmit work after marking if small changes are needed. NO EXAMS!
When attending a course at our main AET site, in addition to a warm welcome, ample free parking you get free tea/coffee at break times.

- Evaluating the delivery of inclusive teaching and learning including areas for improvement
- Different methods of assessment and how they can be adapted to meet individual learner needs
- How to involve learners and others in the assessment process
- The role and use of constructive feedback
- Record keeping of assessments

Requirements
You must be able to attend our venue in Knowsley, Liverpool, be over 19 years old and produce photo ID to gain the qualification.
