Description

This qualification supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.

Its primary purpose is to develop and confirm the learner's occupational competence as a plant operator so that they can gain employment or work towards another qualification As a work-related, competence-based qualification it will provide, on completion, confirmation to employers and industry managers and card schemes that learners have the skills and knowledge needed to meet the nationally recognised standard to carry out the role.

You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification.

Who is this course for?

This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16 and above who already have taken the initial training and operate lifting or plant machinery in the workplace.

Requirements

Candidates interested in this qualification needs to have passed their initial plant training which leads to CPCS or NPORS RED cards.

Career path

This Qualification leads to a Blue Card and is a good stepping stone to become a Lift Supervisor and finally and Appointed person Lifting Operations
