Overview

This course leads to the award of Level 1 Diploma Introduction to the Hospitality Industry. Your study programme will comprise of your main programme of study, employability skills which includes guest speakers, placement, trips and visits to employers within the region and nationally and also competitions.

This qualification will prepare you for a career within some Hospitality and Catering organisations, but is primarily designed as a progression route into Level 2. The aims of the programme are to; provide an educational foundation for a range of careers in the Hospitality Industry; provide relevant studies for seeking employment; provide flexibility, knowledge, skills and motivation as a basis for future studies and career development; develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.

Requirements

In order to access the Level 1 Diploma Introduction to the Hospitality Industry you will require a number of GCSE’s at grades D-G or two years relevant work experience in the hospitality and catering industry.
