The Level 2 Certificate in Manufacturing, Planning and Control provides students with an in-depth look into the the entire manufacturing process carried out in the production of goods. Upon completion of this qualification, students are awarded an IOSCM Level 2 Certificate, an SFEDI Level 2 certificate and an OLC Diploma. All certification fees are included in your course fees.

Course Content

This course assesses several criteria and learners must complete four mandatory units:

Mandatory Units

Manufacturing Planning and Control 5 Credits

• Understanding the manufacturing process
• The role of assembly in manufacturing
• Manufacturing improvement techniques
• The importance of production planning
• Understand the process of engaging external organisations to participate in the manufacturing process

Warehousing and Inventory 5 Credits

• Understanding the purpose and characteristics of inventory
• How goods are received in a warehouse
• Key warehousing activities
• Health and safety arrangements in a warehouse environment

IT In Manufacturing 2 Credits

• Understanding the function of IT in manufacturing
• Understanding the role of IT in manufacturing
• Policies and procedures that affect IT in manufacturing

Supply Chain 5 Credits

• Understand supply chains across a range of sectors
• The roles of other organisations in supply chain
• Communication and information sources within a supply chain

This course can be taken over a 12 month period and you can complete it in your own time during this period.
