Overview

Re-think long PowerPoint decks and Word reports by sharing insight through Infographics with this 1-day introductory course.

Almost all professionals need to deliver presentations and reports at some point in their role, but many fall into the trap of creating long slide decks where the key information is lost, and audience engagement becomes a struggle. If this sounds a problem you’re familiar with, you’re not alone.

Visualisation, the process of taking information and delivering it in a creative, engaging, and concise way through graphics, is the focus of this 1-day, collaborative, and deep-dive course, and will transform how you talk about data.

Description

Expert facilitators Betty Adamou and Paul McGhie will help you design impact-focused infographics while sharing design best-practices, with plenty of examples to help you gain ideas. You’ll also apply your new-found knowledge to create an infographic for yourself, based on a project you’ll bring with you on the day, through basic Adobe Photoshop training. This will help your design come to life, and no prior experience is needed.

Through learning-by-doing, you’ll use exercises to help you re-think how you share the most important facets of your data, while still keeping an eye on the bottom line.

So, whether you’re a HR professional sharing insight about the workforce, a marketeer sharing information on a PR campaign, or an individual preparing to present at a conference, this workshop is for you.

At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
