Overview
This course is ideal for those who wish to take responsibility for their personal health and well-being. It is relevant to those students who wish to gain a greater understanding of how to exercise appropriately for their age, ability and current fitness level, those seeking to improve their knowledge and understanding of a healthy diet and who wish to be able to plan and monitor their personal exercise and dietary progress.
This course explores these areas in relation to exercising safely, personal motivation, diet and nutrition and drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
Description
Unit 1: Understanding health and exercise
Unit 2: Understanding the role of nutrition in exercise
Unit 3: Planning and preparing for personal exercise and nutrition
Study Hours
This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
The approximate amount of time required to complete the course is: 30 hrs.

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.
