If you are looking to master the basics of this dynamic and vital profession, the IAB Foundation course will give you a comprehensive introduction to the field, teaching you how to record financial transactions for all organisations and business types.
What jobs will I qualify for?
The IAB Foundation Bookkeeping course forms the first stage on the IAB pathway to becoming a fully qualified Bookkeeper and gaining a licence to practise on behalf of Sole Traders and Limited Companies. Upon completion of the course, you will be competent in basic bookkeeping processes and will able to go on to further study at IAB Level 2 Intermediate Bookkeeping.

Are there any requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements to enrol on the course, but we recommend that you have basic qualifications in English and Mathematics. If English is not your first language an IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is required.
What skills will I gain?
The course will teach you to perform a range of key bookkeeping tasks, such as how to maintain customer and supplier accounts, create invoices, run financial reports, and confidently navigate Sage One Accounts - the world’s most popular computerised accounting software for business.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through one assignment, three computer based tests (sat at home) and two exams (sat at a test centre).
