How You Can Release Muscle Tension, Pain and Improve Sleep
Udemy
Summary
Overview
Description
Majority of people in our society, ranging from professional athletes to professionals who are slouched behind a computer, experience muscle tension. Most people try to ignore it until the muscle knots and trigger points become too painful. Then, some will finally try to use foam rollers or tennis balls for self massage. Many of the techniques can be painful, place body in an uncomfortable position, or cause tension elsewhere (ie. shoulder tension from supporting yourself for rolling out your thighs). The emerging modality of self bodywork takes foam rolling and tennis ball rolling to a more professional level by providing the user basic knowledge of the science of muscle and fascial tension, the causes of muscle tension and its detrimental effect on mind and body, anatomy, self palpation, the most effective methods of releasing muscle tension and basic self bodywork practical sequences.
The course videos is 6.5 hours and it should take about 10 hours to experience all the content, including the sequences.
The course is a combination of lectures covering topics necessary to become effective self bodyworkers and practical classes demonstrating self bodywork techniques for the entire body.
Anybody who is interested in learning how to effectively, safely, and comfortably release muscle tension to improve physical performance, reduce stress, improve sleep and benefit general well being should consider taking the course!
