Who is it for?

If you are looking for the insights to spark a career in Human Resources, then the Human Resources Level 3 (approved by NCFE) is the ideal first step. The course focuses on the knowledge and techniques you will need to contribute to any Human Resources department, and outlines the simple processes and procedures you can expect to face. It also helps you to define your organisation’s goals and aspirations, and how to communicate them in order to engage and enthuse others so that they too want the same or similar outcomes.

A reasonable level of literacy is required, but there are no entry restrictions. You need a keen interest in the subject.

What skills will I gain?

This course will help you to understand the concepts and legalities of recruitment and selection, clearly explains applicable legislation (including the rights and obligations of both employees and employers) and how to manage employee relations. It also gives an insight into performance management; including how to properly record, monitor and review the performance of others, how to understand payroll administration and identify training needs (and then plan and deliver appropriate training).

The final part of the course deals with coaching and mentoring staff. By the time you complete the course you will be very well-prepared to implement a structured HR plan, and will have a good grounding in employment law.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
