Did you know that the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reported that first aid courses are being attributed to a significant decline in work-related injuries over last decade? First aid is an essential skill you can apply to any aspect of work and everyday life, in order to increase the safety of yourself and others in the surrounding environment.

These short, auto-marked programmes will give you the knowledge you need to understand the key areas of First Aid. This programme contains four zones focusing on a range of areas including the role of the first aider, minor injuries, asthma, shock, choking and head injuries.

It will also benefit your general knowledge, and is a great addition to your CV to show your commitment to first aid.

Description

There are total 4 zones:

Zone 1 - In this section you will cover the role of the first aider, managing an emergency, basic patient assessment skills and minor injuries.

Zone 2 - In this section, you will cover asthma, bone, muscle and joint injuries, burns and scalds, shock and bleeding (minor and severe).

Zone 3 - In this section, you will understand choking in adults, chest pains (including heart attack) and seizures.

Zone 4 - In this section, you will study head injuries, severe allergic reactions, unconscious casualties and resuscitation.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
