Overview
The course is delivered on-line and there is no classroom attendance required. You will attend 3 on-line tutorials per week over the 3 week period to support your learning and development. During week 1 you will complete the theory and knowledge of assessment which will include attending tutorials and completing a workbook. From weeks 2-3 you will undertake 4 assessments of 2 learners. Your tutor will assess your work following each assessment you complete allowing you to use the feedback to develop and improve your practice as an assessor.

Who is this course for?
Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. You will complete 2 units of the TAQA assessor course and become a NVQ assessor upon completion.
There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking these qualifications. However, you must be occupationally competent in the role you wish to assess and will need access to 2 learners in a suitable assessment environment. The learners who you will be assessing do not need to be enrolled on a NVQ qualification.
3 weeks. You have to ensure that you have the time available to attend tutorials, complete assignments and assessments. This equates to approximately 25 hours per week.
Career path
You will become a NVQ assessor and can progress onto a number of qualifications such as the internal verifier award and other learning and development programs.
