Environmental Waste Management (Level 4)

 How we manage our waste and control substances and items that we consider to just be "rubbish" is a critical factor in the way we need to protect our environment and ensure a quality of life for us and our family.

Environmental Waste Management Course course deals mainly with the management of waste. However, waste cannot be looked upon as a separate issue to the conservation of the environment.

Description

Module 1 – Conservation and Waste

  • Explain your understanding of the term Conservation

 Module 2 – Domestic Waste

  • Review the difference between sewage and sewerage and examine the methods of disposing of waste

 Module 3 – Street Cleaning and the Disposal of Waste

  • Identify the various methods used to clean streets
  • Discuss how waste is disposed of

 Module 4 – The Effects of Industry on the Environment

  • Examine the effects of Industry on the Environment

 Module 5 – Nuclear Fuel and Waste

  • Discuss your understanding of Nuclear Fuel

 Module 6 – Water and its Treatment

  • Identify the impurities found in water and discuss how these impurities are removed

Module 7 – Waste and Recycling.

  • Discuss how we can contribute towards recycling
  • Discuss the purpose of the environmental policy in your organisation’s environmental management system (EMS)

Our Environmental Waste Management (Level 4) Course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about Environmental Waste Management and has a keen interest in the subject, plus an intention to progress a career.

  • Learners will need sufficient numeracy and literacy
  • Students should have access to a computer and the internet throughout your study period.
