Overview

This qualification provides learners with knowledge and skills which aligns with Category D of the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Framework to respond to a range of pre-hospital emergency care situations. Furthermore this qualification would fulfill the First Aid Regulations 1981 (as amended February 2024), where an organisations first aid needs assessment indicates.

Description

The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace, where the primary or secondary focus of the role involves giving emergency medical care as the first responder on the scene of an accident or emergency. Roles may include, security operatives, close protection officers, event medical staff, cabin crew, police & fire & rescue officers. To complete this qualification will take around 50 hours in total. Remote First Aid provides this training as blended, whereby the learner completes 11 hours & 50 minutes of knowledge based learning followed by 40 hours of face-to-face learning covering all the practical elements of the course programme.
